Agreement to Terms

By accessing this website or entering Velvetan Donyx, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. These terms apply to all visitors, patrons, and users of the website and venue. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use the website or enter the venue.

Your continued use of the website or attendance at the venue constitutes acceptance of these terms, including any updates. We may revise these terms at any time, and the updated version will be posted on this page with a new effective date. It is your responsibility to review these terms periodically. Venue: Refers to Velvetan Donyx, located at Level 1, 88 King Street, Sydney NSW 2000, Australia.
Poker Lounge: The designated offline poker area within the venue.
Tournament Chips: Complimentary, non-monetary chips used for social play. No real-money gambling is involved; all poker is social and tournament-chip-based.
Patron: Any individual who visits the venue or uses the website.
Poker Dining Experience: All dining and poker-related activities offered by the venue.

Nature of Poker Activities

All poker activities at Velvetan Donyx are conducted strictly offline within the venue's designated poker lounge. No online poker, remote play, or digital wagering is offered. Poker is presented as a social dining experience, not a gambling activity.

Participants use complimentary tournament chips that have no cash value and cannot be exchanged for money or prizes of monetary value. Chips are provided solely for the purpose of social play. Winning a poker game does not result in any financial gain.

No Real-Money Gambling. Velvetan Donyx does not offer, facilitate, or permit any form of real-money gambling, betting, or wagering on its premises. All poker games are for entertainment and social interaction only. Any attempt to introduce real-money gambling will result in immediate removal from the venue.

Dining and Venue Policies

Dress Code and Conduct: Velvetan Donyx maintains an upscale casual dress code and expects respectful behaviour from all patrons. Smart casual attire is recommended; management reserves the right to refuse entry for inappropriate dress. Disruptive, abusive, or intoxicated behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in removal.
Age Restrictions: 18+ The poker lounge is restricted to patrons aged 18 years or older, in compliance with Australian law. Valid photo identification may be required for entry to the poker lounge. Minors are permitted in the dining area only when accompanied by a legal guardian.
Food Allergies and Dietary Requirements: Patrons with food allergies or dietary restrictions must inform staff before ordering. While we take precautions, cross-contamination may occur in our kitchen. We cannot guarantee that any dish is completely free of allergens.

Reservations and Cancellations

Making a Reservation

Reservations for dining and poker lounge experiences can be made via phone at +61 412 678 903, email at [email protected], or the website's reservation form. A valid credit card may be required to secure certain reservations, but no charge is made at the time of booking. Reservation confirmation will be sent via email.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made at least 24 hours in advance for dining reservations and 48 hours for private poker room bookings. Late cancellations or no-shows may incur a fee, as specified at the time of booking. Fees, if any, are clearly communicated before confirmation. No real-money gambling is involved; fees are for reservation holding only.

Private Events and VIP Rooms

Private event and VIP poker room reservations are subject to separate agreements and may require a deposit. Deposits are refundable according to the terms outlined in the event contract. Poker Lounge Rules and Etiquette

All participants in poker lounge activities must adhere to the following rules:

Only tournament chips provided by the venue may be used.
No real money, personal chips, or outside gaming materials are permitted.
Players must follow dealer instructions and maintain respectful conduct.
The venue reserves the right to remove any player for rule violations.
Poker games are for social entertainment only; no wagering or betting is allowed.

Tournaments are structured with predetermined blind levels and chip stacks, and no entry fees are charged for regular social tournaments. Games include Texas Hold'em and Omaha. Intellectual Property

All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, and software, is the property of Velvetan Donyx or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without prior written consent. The 'VD' monogram and brand name are trademarks of Velvetan Donyx.

You may view and print pages from the website for personal, non-commercial use only. Any other use, including commercial reproduction, is strictly prohibited. Requests for use should be directed to the venue's management.

Limitation of Liability

Velvetan Donyx provides its website and venue services on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee that the website will be error-free or uninterrupted. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the website or venue.

To the extent permitted by law, Velvetan Donyx excludes liability for:

Personal injury or property damage not caused by our negligence.
Loss of enjoyment or disappointment in social poker outcomes.
Any damages resulting from unauthorised access to your personal information.

Australian Consumer Law may imply certain guarantees that cannot be excluded.

Governing Law and Dispute Resolution

These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes arising from these terms or your use of the venue will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of New South Wales.
